Reference · The 64 Gates

The sixty-four gates.
Each one a doorway.

Human Design inherits its sixty-four gates directly from the I Ching, a 3,000-year-old Chinese system of philosophical archetypes. Each gate is a hexagram — a specific configuration of yin and yang lines — mapped to a precise band of the ecliptic. Where you carry a gate, you carry that archetype as a steady inner pressure. Where you don’t, you receive its frequency from others.
