Essence
Gate 42 is the gate of maturation — the sacral energy to bring cycles to their proper end. It is the closing gate, the one that finishes what was started.
When this gate is defined
You can finish cycles. The energy carries through to completion. Pairs with Gate 53 in the Root for the pressure to begin new cycles.
The shadow side
Refusing to finish. Sitting in cycles past their completion because ending feels like loss. Or rushing endings without honoring the cycle's actual length.
Working with this gate
Trust the cycle's natural close. When the energy says it's done, it's done — even if the mind would prefer to extend. Honoring completion is the work.
