Essence
Gate 46 is love of the body — the gate that puts the self into physical form and lives there fully. It is the embodiment gate, the one that knows direction through the body's response.
When this gate is defined
You experience life through your body in a more intense register than most. Pairs with Gate 29 in the Sacral for the commitment energy that the body's direction generates.
The shadow side
Pushing the body past its signals. Treating embodiment as performance — fitness, aesthetics — rather than home. Disconnection between what you sense and what you do.
Working with this gate
Listen to the body. It is the directional instrument. Practices that integrate (movement, breath, rest) keep the gate in working order; practices that perform deplete it.
