Essence
Gate 10 is the behavior of the self — the way you live that, when honored, expresses self-love and, when not, expresses self-betrayal. It is the gate of authenticity in action.
When this gate is defined
You have a clear sense of how to behave to remain in integrity with yourself. Pairs with Gate 20 (now), Gate 34 (energy), or Gate 57 (intuition) — three different flavors of authentic action.
The shadow side
Behaving in ways that contradict the self. Performing for approval. The exhaustion that comes from misaligned action.
Working with this gate
The behavior is the message; the message is the love. When you act in alignment with who you are, the self is fed; when you don't, the self starves. There is no shortcut around this.
